Consider…
There is no greater reward than that which comes to those that love Jesus and abide in Him (Rev. 22:12). That said, we will encounter obstacles along the way (John 16:33). One of the greatest hindrances to running the race of faith is sin, and we are warned that we can become easily entangled in it (Heb. 12:1). But with the warning also comes the encouragement for success, the Way to shed all that encumbers us as we strive for the finish line (Heb. 12:2-3). We are not promised an easy race, but we are promised the help we need to excel along the way (Mat. 28:19-20).

Father, fill me with the knowledge of Your will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that I may live a life worthy of You and please You in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in my knowledge of You, being strengthened with all power according to Your glorious might so that I may have great endurance and patience, giving joyful thanks to the You, who has qualified me to share in the inheritance of Your holy people in the kingdom of light. (Col. 1:9-12)
