Consider…
What did you do today? What are you planning on doing in the future? I doubt that anything we do is completely without forethought. There are things that need to be done. Our desire for shelter, transportation, food, and clothing compels us to acquire money. A yearning to excel in a given endeavor inspires us to study or practice. Assuming we are not engaging in immoral or illegal means to achieve immoral or illegal ends, these are worthwhile or necessary. And at the end of the day, even the daily mundane chores can and should glorify the Lord (1 Cor. 10:31). This will only happen when we are under His influence, desiring to do that which will have eternal significance. All else is ultimately meaningless at best (2 Cor. 5:9-10).
Pray…
My Father, Continually immerse me in the things of your Spirit that I would be Your faithful witness (Acts 1:8, Mat. 28:18-20). Remind me that I will reap what I sow, and help me sow to the Spirit. Provide godly examples for me to learn from and imitate, that I would be more like Jesus (1 Cor. 11:1).
In His name, Amen.
