Consider…
A seven year old buying Swedish Fish for dinner or spending their college fund on a Lego set of the Great Wall of China may seem cute to us. But a 50 year old eating every meal from a plastic bag or dumping their 401K into a sketchy crypto currency they discovered on the dark web is just plain stupid, to quote theologians of old. With age should come wisdom (Job 32:7, Prov. 16:31) and the ability to disciple others (Titus 2:6-8). The Bible refers to the spiritually immature as children, and not in an endearing way (Heb. 5:11-13).
Pray…
My Father in Heaven, Lead me on the path of righteousness (Psalm 23:3) and give me an increasing desire for the things of the Spirit (1 Cor. 14:1). Equip and burden me to disciple those in my circle of influence (2 Tim. 2:1-2). Find me faithful in rightly dividing your word (2 Tim. 2:15) and giving an answer for the hope that is in me (1 Pet. 3:15).
In the name of Jesus, Amen.
