The Beautiful Game – Firmer Ground

Consider…
It’s been said that variety is the spice of life, that a painting of one color is a one-colored painting. Deep, right? It’s also been said that to make an omelet, you have to break a few eggs. That’s completely irrelevant, but I like using it whenever I can. The Bible explains that we need each other, BECAUSE we are all different (1 Cor. 12:15-19). Presently, I’m watching a roofing crew work on top of a bank. They are very efficient at roofing. I’d be very hesitant to hire these guys to fix a plumbing issue or rewire a circuit breaker. Others are uniquely equipped in those specialties. But if you are constructing a building, those, and many other types of contractors, are necessary to complete the job. The beauty of the Church, also called the body of Christ, is the bringing together of believers from every tribe, tongue, race, and nationality to build the Kingdom of God on earth. When we all do our parts, the results are beautiful, communities fully equipped to do the Lord’s work until He returns. In the meantime, pray about what He would have you do, ask for His help and guidance, and partner with others to put your faith into action. And while you’re at it, hand me the remote. The IMSA race is about to start.

Pray…
My Lord, You’ve molded me and placed me where I am to be about Your business (Heb 13:20-21). Join me with other faithful servants in ministry. I pray that You will find me faithful in whatever it is You would have me do when You return (Matt. 24:45-46).

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
