Consider…
Waiting, in and of itself, is not necessarily good or bad. But depending on what we are waiting for, it can either be a tremendous blessing or a terrible waste of time. Also, not waiting for something can also have similar ramifications. On what is it most important to wait? Its on Whom. We are called, most importantly, to wait on the Lord (Isa. 40:31). The Bible recounts for us Abraham’s refusal to wait on the Lord, and the consequences of his impatience are still being experienced. But in spite of that, God is faithful, blessing Abraham in his day and his seed in ours.
Pray…
Because there is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end is death, help me to wait for you, Lord, and keep your way, so that you will exalt me. Give me the faith to trust in you and not lean on my own understanding, to acknowledge you in all my ways, that you will make my paths straight. Keep me humble before you, knowing that in due time you will lift me up.
