Consider…
“In passing we should note this curious mark of our age: The only absolute allowed is the absolute insistence that there is no absolute.”
– Francis A. Schaeffer
“The problem is that relativism provides no sure foundation for a safe and orderly society.”
– Charles Colson
“When regard for truth has been broken down or even slightly weakened, all things will remain doubtful.”
– Augustine
“Without absolutes revealed from without by God Himself, we are left rudderless in a sea of conflicting ideas about manners, justice and right and wrong, issuing from a multitude of self-opinionated thinkers.”
– John Owen
Pray…
Father, sanctify me in the truth; your word is truth. Your word is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Equip me to present myself to You as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
(John 17:17, Heb. 4:12, 2 Tim. 2:15)
