Consider…
Each one of us has been allotted a finite amount of time on this, the third rock from the sun. And we need to be wary not to live immature lives, simply looking for ways to kill time or distract ourselves between responsibilities and obligations. If we were to sum up our last year, month, week, day, or even hour with a hashtag, how what it read? #PlayedaLotofGolf ? #WatchedanEntireYearofaShowonNetflix ? #LayedontheCouchandAteChips ? #KilledanHouronSocialMedia ? The Lord came that we might have life, and have it abundantly! (John 10:10) We’ll have seasons when we were spinning our wheels or climbing mountains, spiritually speaking, but at the end of our lives, the greatest “hashtag summation” would be this: #WellDoneGoodAndFaithfulServant (Matt. 25:21)
Pray…
Lord, because life is a vapor, here today and gone tomorrow, give me the perspective that I need to redeem the time because the days are evil. I do not know the time or the hour of my Master’s return, and I want to be found faithful. Help me to forsake all and follow you. (James 4:14, Eph. 5:16, Luke 12:40, Luke 14:33)
Can’t Believe They Sold These to Kids
We called these things “clackers”, but they’re also called “click-clacks” I’m pretty sure they were used as hunting weapons or devices of warfare in ancient cultures, but in the late 60’s, they were sold as toys. I’m not sure what they were made of, but granite is somewhat softer and less prone to shattering. Clacker owners were identified either by bruised forearms or eye patches, but they sure were fun! Kids these days have no idea what they are missing.
