Consider…
As Christians, we are to walk (live) by faith, not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7). It would stand to reason that the stronger and more sure our faith, the stronger our walk. Our faith is not blind; far from it. It is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen (Heb. 11:1). What things? The word of God informs us of what those things are. The Bible reveals to us spiritual truths contained in the historical narrative, fulfilled prophecy, God’s promises, and our identity in Christ. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ (Rom. 10:17).
Pray…
Father of glory, give me the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of You. Enlighten the eyes of my heart that I may fully know the hope to which You have called me, and the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints. Reveal to me the immeasurable greatness of Your power towards me who believes, according to the working of Your great might that You worked in Christ when You raised him from the dead and seated him at Your right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. (Eph. 1:17-21)
In the name of Jesus, Amen.
