Consider…
We’ve often heard that we are only cogs in a machine. This is true, but we’ve also been led to believe that we are an insignificant part, not vital to the performance of that machine. Mechanically, but more important important spiritually, this could not be further from the truth. The Lord has given each of His children spiritual gifts, and all are necessary for the body of Christ to be complete and function as intended. Don’t be deceived by the enemy, who would have you believe that because you aren’t a pastor, evangelist, or missionary that your contribution to the church doesn’t matter. Scripture says otherwise. (1 Cor. 12)
Pray…
My Father, Remind me that as Your child, I have been chosen and gifted to build up the body of Christ, and that You have placed me in the body accordingly (Rom. 12:3-8; 1 Cor. 12:18). As I have received spiritual gifting, empower me to use them according to Your grace, to serve others and glorify You (1 Pet. 4:10). According to Your promise, I’m asking for a filling of Your Holy Spirit and an impartation of Your greater gifts (Luke 11:13; 1 Cor. 12:31), ministering them in Your love (1 Cor. 16:14).
In Your Son’s name, Amen.
