Consider…
Each and every one of us is innately gifted or talented to do something(s). At the very least, we have certain abilities to accomplish certain tasks, more so than others. This is divinely intentional (Matt. 25:15). Beyond that, believers in Christ have been gifted by the Holy Spirit to do Kingdom building work (Rom. 12:4-6, 1 Cor. 12:4-7). What matters is that we are found faithful to serve and glorify the Lord in whatever capacity or environment He gives us. So whether we are on the mission field in a foreign land or playing cornhole with our friends, we need to do so for the glory of God (1 Cor. 10:31).
Pray…
My Lord, By Your Holy Spirit equip and compel me to offer myself to be used by You as You see fit (Isa. 6:8, Rom. 6:13, Rom. 12:1). Let not my life be lived selfishly, but in service to You (Phil. 3:8-10), and may my delight be in hearing Your words to me, “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master” (Matt. 25:23).
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
