Consider…
Waiting is a part of life, and as such, should be expected. As Christians, we should embrace it, even redeem it as an opportunity (Eph. 5:15-16). Not as a chance to plumb the psychosis of the Chewbacca imitator next to us in front of the multiplex, but as a chance to show ourselves faithful to serve the Lord (1 Cor. 4:2). We need to constantly seek the Lord to know His will for us during the season of “already but not yet” (Rom. 12:1-2).
Pray…
My Father, Give me an increased sense of urgency for Your imminent return, that I may be found faithfully serving you on that Day (Matt. 24:45-46). Help me to persevere, and be mindful of Your promise (Heb. 10:36). Equip me to know and do Your will, and work in me what pleases You, that I would glorify Jesus with my life (Heb. 13:20-21).
