Consider…
Theological discussions can be enlightening, and certainly have a place in our Christian experience. But when they obscure the figurative forest from the trees, they can become an unnecessary distraction. Much more, they can cause us to lose sight of the faith essentials, that which will equip and empower us to be Kingdom men.
Pray…
My Lord, You are first and foremost at the very core of my being (Acts 17:28). Reinforce in my spirit that knowing Christ and Him crucified is paramount (1 Cor. 2:2), always reminding me that my rest and salvation are found in You (Psalm 62:1-2). Keep my eyes always on You (Heb. 12:1-2), and let me not be distracted by useless and vain discussions (1 Tim. 1:4-6).
In the name of my Savior, Amen.
