Consider…
I wonder how often we disqualify ourselves from saying or doing the very thing that needs to be said or done, thinking that we are not prepared or under equipped. In and of ourselves, this is true, spiritually speaking. Apart from the Lord, we can do nothing (John 15:5). But in Christ, we will bear much fruit as we abide in Him (John 15:5). We have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Tim. 1:7). We are the nails in the horse’s shoe, figuratively speaking. There are no unneeded or unnecessary “parts” in the body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:22-23). If the Lord is calling us to His good work, who are we to tell Him He is wrong (Exo. 4:11-12)?
Prayer…
Lord, increase in me the full measure of Your Holy Spirit (Luke 11:13, Luke 12:12) and the manifestation of Your greater gifts in and through me (1 Cor. 12:31). Let all I do be done for Your glory (1 Cor. 10:31). Remind me that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Phil. 4:13).
In Your Son’s name, Amen.
