Consider…
At no time in recorded human history has there been a lack of uncertainty. In Scripture, we read numerous accounts of uncertainty in relationships, circumstances, and seasons. Not that we would count ourselves immune, consider that even the Christ’s disciples were at times uncertain. “The disciples looked at one another, uncertain of whom he spoke.” (John 13:22) Uncertainty is a universal reality in this fallen world. We don’t know the future. We are reminded that our lives are but a vapor (James 4:14). A sage of yesteryear opined, “Nothing is certain except for death and taxes.” I beg to differ, sage of yesteryear. “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.” (2 Cor. 1:20)
Pray…
My Lord, Thank You that by Your great love we are not consumed, for Your compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (Lam. 3:22-23) Give me the courage to live a life that glorifies You, because You have promised to never leave me nor forsake me, even to the end of the age. (Deut. 31:6, Matt. 28:20) Saturate me in Your word, knowing that I will grow in faith as I hear it. (Rom. 10:17) Constantly assure me in the truth that nothing will ever separate me from Your love, and I will rest in the certainty that I am more than a conqueror in Christ. (Rom 8:37-39)
In His name, Amen.
